Full-time, part-time (up to 30 hours) or contract to hire (after 90 days) candidates will be considered.

Merit is seeking an agile and highly-organized project manager to join our client experience team. The client experience team consists of account directors, account managers and program managers who all serve as strategic partners and consultants to our clients and internal team. The ideal candidate is an instinctual problem solver, has experience working in an agency setting with a strong, established background in project management and managing multi-channel creative campaigns. The Project Manager will report to the Director of Account Management.

Project managers at Merit are involved in all types of agency accounts and projects therefore it is essential for candidates to be adaptable and thrive while working in fast-paced environments. Example projects include (but are not limited to):  integrated brand and marketing, research and strategy, PR and communications, traditional and digital media, websites and other digital marketing and technology related projects. 

This position’s responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage project plans, and comfortable working across agency disciplines and departments to deliver projects on time and on budget 
  • Manage internal agency systems and tools to monitor, manage and report on critical project and/or account details (budgets, timeline, resourcing, etc.)
  • Plan and prioritize all deliverables and agency resources across projects
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of internal teams and ensure work is progressing as planned 
  • Manage third-party freelancers and agency partners when involved in an account or project
  • Serve as the liaison between internal agency teams and the account directors/managers who handle day-to-day communications with clients 
  • Collaborate with the project team and be actively involved in all aspects of the work
  • Document and communicate project status to account team members and agency leadership 
  • Facilitate the receipt and communication process of client feedback and conduct thorough reviews of all deliverables to ensure the agency is maintaining the highest quality
  • Monitor risks and scope changes to identify potential problems and find ways to proactively solve them

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience with a focus on project management; 3+ years in an agency setting preferred
  • PMP certification preferred but not required
  • Experience managing both traditional and digital projects strongly preferred 
  • A strong understanding of the interactive design and development process
  • Ability to assess outside vendors and obtain estimates for purchases such as printing, photography, etc 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications preferred
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with clear, effective communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with dynamic job responsibilities and priorities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting, in person and/or via Zoom
  • Attention to detail and consistency
  • Calmness in the midst of storm
